Absolutely lovely place. Great selection of sandwiches for lunch. Didn't have a coffee, so can't say how good they were, but I'll be back.

This family run company exceeded our expectations for a small town bakery. Quality quality quality sums up this establishment. They bake all their breads and confections. If I had a favorite it would be the pistachio cookies - divine. The sandwiches were delicious and coffee made us feel at home. Anthony , Nichole , Andria, Mom (Rosie) and weekend support Ashley make the experience here far above the rest. Rosie General puts Kingston, NY on the map.

Definitely my favorite spot in the low end of kingston. Great place to brunch at. Food and baked goods are top-notch. I've always been impressed with the type of things that they make from fresh condiments and made sandwiches and soups and all of their baked goods are absolutely phenomenal. Only criticism I wish it was open longer and more often. But God bless him for taking care of their employees and their free time off

The best Reuben sandwich I’ve eaten in a long time. Bread: soft, good chew, crunchy crust without being tough/cut up the roof of your mouth. The meat is tender at every bite, great char, and with a solid balance of fat and salt. The sauce, cheese and sauerkraut added moisture and cut through the other flavors quite nicely. The only reason atmosphere is 4/5: they need to expand or have more tables. Will drive up again, highly recommend!

Some of the people writing bad reviews on here sound seriously deranged so keep that in mind. This is not the place you go to for a quick bite or to save money. This is a place you go with your journal or laptop or with friends to hang out for a while. The food is delicious. Do I always feel like I got a great value for what I paid? It would be really nice if the tuna melt and other smaller sandwiches came with a little side salad. That said, the prices are what they are because they pay themselves a fair wage (I hope/assume), and bc they source all of their food locally. This place is a jewel in the Kingston crown and we'd all be a lot sadder without it.

Such a cute place! So many amazing options from food to coffee to baked goods. So many great prepared goods as well like pickled vegetables, spices, sauces, and more. Great atmosphere and friendly service! Everything we had was so delicious. We will absolutely be back again before we leave town.

This place is straight out of Gilmore Girls! It’s cute inside with a wraparound bar and window seating that looks out. We loved the general store items featuring local brands. The cafe component had a bit of line, but it moved relatively fast. We got bagels and cream cheese and enjoyed them! Great place for a Sunday morning breakfast in the Hudson River Valley.

Bakery, coffee and sandwich shop using local produce. I had the best Ruben I have ever had. They have a selection of local produce, local jams and jellies, and a small selection of specialty dry goods. I would definitely recommend this spot for food! I found a hard to find Italian fish sauce on their shelves too. (The picture is only a 1/2 of the Reuben as the other part was eaten before I remembered to take the picture. The Ruben was made with a delicious melt in your mouth slab of pastrami instead of slices, which is how they are typically served. )
